Brainstorm Blog 1

For this project I have drawn inspiration from different bands/musicians and their album covers. My main idea is to take images of the band/artist performing and editing them in whatever ways my brain takes me in photoshop and also taking album covers and expanding on them in different ways in illustrator. Graphic design incorporated into music has always been an interest of mine from creating poster/t-shirt designs for different groups or artists. Using photoshop brushes, gradients, etc. is extremely fun for me to play with and I feel that I can incorporate those techniques into this project very well. Illustrator is a program I am not as comfortable with so getting to experiment more with it and finding out my abilities in the medium will be very interesting in this project. Overall, I am really looking forward to seeing the end result and the zine that I come up with for this assignment.
