Artist Statement 2

For this project, I really wanted to create a unique soundscape by overlapping sounds throughout the entirety of it. The inspiration for my project primarily came from STOMP, and they tend to use overlapping sounds to create their songs. STOMP definitely executes their mixing of sounds much for effectively than I was able to. I think I may have gone a bit overboard with the overlapping and effects I put on the sounds and may have creating some sensory overloading. Adobe Audition was a completely brand new software to me, so I wanted to really test myself in it and see what I was capable of creating with it. In hindsight, I think if I could do the project over again I would still like to use more overlapping than not, but find ways to mellow it out and not have so much chaos taking over with it and the effects that were added to the sounds.
